What is the «union council»?

The union’s assembly names people to open up the
offices, have relationships with other unions, receive and send
correspondence, gather funds,…all tasks that in general do not need
the assembly to meet to make them happen. These people form what is
called the “union council” (comité sindical in Spanish).
CNT’s council is bound by a series of limitations to make sure it
does not turn into a group of leaders.
