Request for CNT Initials to be Removed from the Marsans LFAP

TO MARSANS WORKERS. TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

CNT’s Local Federation of Madrid Unions has
requested, through the corresponding courts, the removal of
our comrade’s signature from the LFAP
. Our comrade signed as «CNT
advisor,» from within CNT’s union section in that company.

This decision was made in a Local Plenary Session
where CNT’s different unions (and their assemblies) express their
opinions and make decisions as necessary.

We understand that the agreement Marsans’ workers
came to to accept the labor force adjustment plan was done so in
assembly. We respect that agreement as the will of the workers in an
assembly who were faced with an extremely difficult labor situation.

We do not want to interfere in the agreement or
stand in the way of its development but we cannot endorse signing the
LFAP. CNT cannot agree with the loss of jobs and layoffs as a way to
solve a labor conflict. Struggle, direct action and mutual aid are
the tools to use until a fair conclusion to labor conflicts is
arrived at. There should be no layoffs or loss of jobs. Any agreement
that lets bosses, by dismantling companies, throw everyone out into
the street all the time with a smile on their faces, living it up,
will not be signed by this union. We believe that this can only work
against the working class as a whole. For these reasons, here
described briefly, we have requested that CNT’s initials be removed
from the agreement.

This does not mean CNT Madrid’s commitment to the
struggle and protests against the people responsible for the sack and
destruction of Marsans will end. We will not sit by and let them,
once more, fill their purses with the sweat and labor of regular
working people.

Anarchosyndicalist regards,

CNT-IWA Madrid.
