The CNT union in Piedra Supermarket informed the company the election
of a new delegate who has demanded that the firm consider his contract
for work or services to be fraudulent.
In response, the company denied the comrade access to his work place
this morning, telling him to leave the company, without any more
explanations so far.
Remember that last August, another comrade was fired after announcing
his affiliation with the CNT, the fraudulent nature of his contract and
demanding payment for overtime which was not accounted for. With this
new action the company has made the repressive nature of these acts
even more evident.
It seems that Piedra Trujillo does not understand the most basic rights
of the workers and continues to deny their right to unionize.
The CNT will continue this campaign for workers’ rights in Piedra, against exploitation and union repression.
Today there was a protest at the doors of Injupisa, property of the
Piedra Trujillo family, through which they control other property and
construction projects, with assets of more than 72 million euros
(12.000 millon pesetas)
For over an hour, comrades from the union informed people of the labour practices of Piedra at he entrance of the company.
