You might think that if you don’t run for election, you’ll never be representative. That’s not true. You and only you are representative. You when you take your problems into your own hands acquire representativeness. You have every right to negotiate, to fight, to decide about what affects you. Don’t believe that old story about union representativeness.
CNT is representative because its members give it representativeness, because when it fights its struggle is fair, because its demands are the demands of the workers. That is what it means to be representative, that’s what it means to have representation, that’s what it means to have dignity. Elections are no more than a masquerade ball with people on TV signing away, preaching, shaking hands with businesspeople and politicians, handing out subsidies.
